PANJIM: The Panjim Police have nabbed a duo from Hyderabad for stealing Rs 1.60 lakh cash, gold and silver ornaments from a Taleigao resident who was their employer.
Panjim Police arrested the two persons from Hyderabad for decamping the employer’s home at Vhodlem Bhat, Taleigao.
In a joint operation with Hyderabad police, the duo, Ramesh Kumar and Jittu both aged 26 were arrested from Hyderabad with 55 grams of stolen gold.
Ramesh Kumar was an employee of the victim Satish Kumar Rajpurohit. The duo looted the booty from his house. Ramesh Kumar allegedly broke open the lock of wooden cupboard and committed theft of cash of Rs 1.60 lakh and gold and silver ornaments. The incident was reported on November 5.
