PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Monday gave Kishor Sastry a final opportunity to file his reply while directing his new advocate to submit it by July 30 in connection with a petition challenging the appointment of Kabir Makhija and Kishor Sastry as nominated councilors of the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP). The Court will now hear the petition on Monday August 2.
Makhija has already filed his reply while at the last hearing the court had given Sastry a further week to submit his reply. With no response on Monday, the court has granted Sastry final opportunity to submit his reply.
Advocate Aires Rodrigues in his petition stated that the appointment of Makhija and Sastry as nominated councilors was in total breach and violation of law.
