PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa adjourned to December 14, 2017, the hearing of the petition filed by Minna Pirhonen, mother of Felix Dahl, who died on January 28, 2015 at Patnem, Canacona.
The writ petition admitted by the Bench seeks to transfer the investigation of Dahl’s death from Goa Police to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
On the request of the additional public prosecutor the High Court has given the State a last chance to argue the matter.
Pirhonen, besides moving the court has also sought the intervention of Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini, Prime Minister of India and Chief Minister of Goa to get justice for her son.
According to family members, Dahl who was found dead in mysterious circumstances in Patnem was murdered. His mother has been demanding it be registered as a murder but Canacona Police failed to do so. It is only after court’s direction the Police registered it as a murder.
The family has now alleged that there is no headway in the case and approached the HC pleading that the investigation be handed over to CBI.
