PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Thursday issued notices to the State government and former Haryana Minister Gopal Kanda’s Golden Globe Hotels Private Limited on a petition filed by activist Advocate Aires Rodrigues over the move of the government to renew and grant an offshore casino licence.
Rodrigues, in his petition has sought the recall of the order passed by the Bombay High Court at Goa of August 1, 2016 which was passed after a wrong statement made by Additional Advocate General Dattaprasad Lawande.
In his petition Rodrigues pointed out that the court was wrongly informed by additional AG that the government had favorably considered the representation made by Golden Globe Hotels to renew their license from the year 2011 to 2016.
