PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Thursday issued notices to the State government in connection to three petitions alleging irregularity in the filling of different posts in the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Public Works Department and Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
The petitioners alleged that in the DHS recruitment, over 95 per cent successful candidates are from one constituency. The petitions also challenged recruitment for the post of “Orthopedic Assistant” in GMC alleging that one of the candidates selected for the post did not appear for the written test.
Likewise, the petitioners challenged the recruitment for the post of Junior Engineer in the Public Works Departments stating that some diploma holder candidates have got unreasonably high marks over that of a degree holder candidate.
After a brief hearing, the High Court issued notices to the respondents including the State government and adjourned the hearing on all the three petitions for the second week of June.
