PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Tuesday refused to admit a petition filed by the All Goa Private Bus Owners Association (AGPBOS) objecting to the fitment of digital taxi meters.
The Division Bench sought to know the petitioner’s interest in the matter as the fitment of meters is a direction to the tourist taxi operators only. To this, the counsel sought to take instructions from the petitioners while urging the Court to adjourn the matter for Wednesday.
The Association along with others had jointly moved the High Court challenging the order. Earlier, a delegation of AGPBOS and Private Taxi Operators had alleged illegalities in the ongoing installation of the taxi digital fare meter.
