PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has rejected the anticipatory bail plea filed by Mapusa-based Hanumantraya Biradar, charged with illegally practicing medicine.
Biradar is accused of allegedly practicing medicine with a fabricated Medical Council of India registration certificate, as per a complaint filed by Goa Medical Council and its past president Dr Shekhar Salkar at Mapusa police station.
The complainants had also submitted a copy of the Medical Council of India’s report confirming that it had never issued a registration certificate. The ‘quack’ is said to be on the run; his consultancy office at Porvorim was raided in the past.
