PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Tuesday stayed suspension of licence of a hotel owned by Congress MLA Delilah Lobo at Anjuna.

Stating that there were no sufficient grounds to suspend the licence, the High Court has asked Lobo to comply with the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) requirements and appeal to the FDA Director within three weeks time.
A few days ago the FDA had suspended food business activity at ‘Pisco by the Beach’, a property owned by Delilah Lobo stating that inspection had revealed major non-compliances.
Following this, Lobo couple had alleged that the government was selectively harassing and targeting them.
“It’s a political vendetta,” they had said warning that they would approach the High Court to seek justice.
Lobo had charged that the FDA inspectors were restricting the entry of guests into the hotel when the customers would flock to their restaurant only with prior appointment. Subsequently, the FDA had suspended the restaurant’s licence.
