Students of Government Higher Secondary School, Sanguem, staged a protest against the proposed transfer of five to six teachers from the school. The students said shifting teachers at this stage of the academic year could disrupt their studies and affect their academic progress.
The protesting students demanded immediate intervention from the Education Department and urged authorities to find a solution without disturbing their education. They also appealed to officials to consider the impact of the transfers on students before implementing the decision.
The students warned that they would continue to pursue the matter if their concerns were not addressed. They said they, along with the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA), would keep raising the issue until a satisfactory solution is found.
The protest reflects growing concern among students over changes to teaching staff during the academic year, with students calling for stability and continuity in their education.
