PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa reserved its order in a challenge petition filed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Crime Branch in connection with bail granted to illegal mining scam accused Imran Khan by a lower court.
The Court on Monday heard arguments from Special Investigation Team as well as Khan’s counsel of Khan and then reserved the order. North Goa District and Sessions Court on September 15 had granted bail to Khan who was arrested in connection with the illegal mining scam being probed by SIT.
Khan was arrested for his alleged role in illegal extraction of iron ore. Special Investigation Team suspects a nexus between Khan and a politician from South Goa.
