MARGAO: The High Court (HC) of Bombay at Goa on Tuesday, while admitting that if it did not intervene in the matter regarding former Loutolim Sarpanch Inacinho Fernandes, said irreparable damage would be caused to his career and hence suspended the order of the Lokayukta.
It may be recalled that the Lokayukta had on December 26, 2019 decreed that Inacinho could not be the sarpanch and hence removed him from office. Aggrieved by the order, Inacinho appealed to the HC.
The HC has now set aside the order of the Lokayukta.
