A devastating head-on collision between two riders in Kasarvarne on Wednesday morning has resulted in the untimely death of a young woman. The fatal accident, involving two two-wheelers, occurred at Kasarvarne, adding to the string of recent road tragedies in the area.
The collision, which took place at 8 am, involved a female rider and a male rider traveling in opposite directions. According to sources, the 24-year-old Sujata Satardekar was on her way to work overtaking a vehicle in front of her, dashed the male rider Frazer Mascarenhas (22) approaching from the opposite direction.
Tragically, the impact of the head-on collision led to the immediate demise of the young woman at the scene. The male rider sustained critical injuries and was swiftly transported to the nearest hospital for urgent medical attention by local commuters who promptly notified the authorities.
