BICHOLIM: A headless body of a 36-year-old person from Sawtawado Amona was found floating in the river at Amona in Bicholim on Saturday.
According to the available information, on Saturday evening a headless body was found floating in the river under the Amona-Khandola bridge. The person was later identified as one Ranjesh Sawant (36) from Amona. The deceased was working as a cable TV repairer and was reported missing since Thursday.
The residents suspected that he could have been drowned and some crocodiles might have eaten his head. The police on receiving the information rushed to the spot and fished out the body. Police suspect that it could be a case of murder.
