MAPUSA: The Mapusa police have booked the headmistress of Government Primary School, Namoshi, Guirim, for allegedly assaulting a teacher of the school over a personal issue.
According to the police, Prarthana Deepak Naik, a teacher of Government Primary School, Namoshi, Guirim, lodged a complaint that Roshny Bhoanath Sakhalkar, Headmistress of the Government Primary school, Namoshi, Guirim, over personal issue, abused her with filthy words and thereafter assaulted her by twisting her left hand causing her bodily injuries of grievous nature.
The incident occured on January 10. A case has been registered under section 504, 325 IPC and the same is being investigated by head constable T Shirodkar.
No arrest has been made yet, police said, adding further investigation is underway.
