Panjim – The State Health Ministry has almost diluted the seriousness over the risky caesarean surgery issue as neither an inquiry is ordered nor has Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane has met the victim mother in the hospital.

Herald exposed on Thursday the most pathetic treatment a ‘to-be mother’ received on the operation table as she suffered critical burns during her caesarean delivery, this Monday while the baby was still in her womb.

Not only was the matter was kept under wraps for four days until the expose, but the inquiry is also yet to be formally announced to verify who is at fault.

Dean Dr V N Jindal while denying that the ‘surgical cautery machine’ caught fire said, after Herald contacted him, an ‘inquiry will be conducted to verify whether the incident happened.”

He blatantly denied any machinery fault.

The mother is being treated for burn injuries and is currently admitted in ward number 128.

The situation was brought under control as a paediatric surgeon had to rush to assist the critical surgery, and technicians to avert bigger mishap. The new born, doctors said, is safe and healthy.
