MAPUSA: A trial court on Monday resumed the hearing in the sexual assault case against the former Editor-in-Chief of Tehelka, Tarun Tejpal at Mapusa.
During the three-day hearing, Tejpal’s lawyers will have an in-camera cross-examination.
It may be recalled that Tejpal was accused of sexually assaulting a female colleague in November 2013.
Following which he was arrested in the same year and is currently out on bail.
Earlier this month, the Additional District and Sessions Court had adjourned the hearing in the case as the woman and her counsel were not available for the examination.
In October, the Bombay High Court dismissed his plea seeking postponement of the trial till December. In his petition, Tejpal sought a hearing date after December 2 on the grounds that his lawyer was busy in another matter.
