Hearing on CBI’s plea to close Vasco minor rape case today

Father of minor victim girl will fight to the finish to get justice for daughter; thanks Herald for highlighting his plight and fight

VASCO: The crucial hearing on the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seeking permission to close the Vasco minor’s rape case will be held at the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Vasco on Thursday.
An embattled father, not willing to give up the fight for justice for his daughter, stands between the CBI and its move to close the investigation into the brutal rape of his minor seven-year-old on January 14, four years ago.
It may be recalled that after investigating the rape case for almost four years, CBI had sought permission from the JMFC Vasco to close down the case as the accused is not traceable.
Speaking to Herald, the father of the victim girl claimed that he has decided not to give up until the case is properly investigated and the culprit is arrested and punished. He said that he still expects those crucial case papers which the CBI has promised to give him on Thursday.
“They had submitted 40 page case papers before the court but they gave me only 12 pages which do not have any clear information about the investigation done by CBI. I know CBI is trying to shield some important facts but I have full faith in the judiciary and will surely get justice for my daughter,” the father of victim girl told Herald.
He also thanked Herald for highlighting the issue and bringing out the facts before the people.
