Hearing on fake cricket ticket case adjourned

MARGAO: The Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao, Pooja Kavlekar adjourned hearing in the sensational 2001 fake cricket ticket case to October 31 for clarification on mundamal property. While granting time to the prosecution to clarify certain aspects of the mundamal property, Judge Kavlekar ordered notices to be served to the two inquiry officers investigating the case to be present on the next date of hearing so that they can state on the report from CFSF on the original and fake cricket tickets since no reports were found in the records.

While granting time to the prosecution to clarify certain aspects of the mundamal property, Judge Kavlekar ordered notices to be served to the two inquiry officers investigating the case to be present on the next date of hearing so that they can state on the report from CFSF on the original and fake cricket tickets since no reports were found in the records. 
Earlier, a prosecution witness Nohan Alemao, Varca was examined in the case today. He stated that he had purchased 25 tickets for the one day ODI between India–Australia at Fatorda stadium from one Anand near Chowgule College prior to the match. He said he was directed by one Rajesh Ghodge to Anand from whom he initially purchased 13 tickets priced Rs 200 for Rs 250 and later 12 tickets at the same rate for distributing among his friends. He also stated that as his friends refused to come for the match he sold 21 ticket purchased at a rate of Rs 300.
