PANJIM: The Indian Meteorological Department (Goa) has predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places till Tuesday even as no warning has been issued for August 14 and 15.
“Starting that on August 11 (Sunday), light to moderate rainfall is very likely to occur at most places over North and South Goa during the next five days. Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in North Goa and South Goa on August 11, 12 and 13.
There are no warnings for North Goa and South Goa on August 14 and 15,” the daily bulletin issued by the department states.
However, since high waves are forecast till August 12 along the coast of Maharashtra from Malvan to Vasai and along the coast of Goa from Vengurla to Vasco, the department has warned fishermen not to venture into the sea.
