PANJIM: India Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places across Goa till September 15. IMD Goa has also warned fishermen not to venture into the sea between September 13 and September 15 due to high wind speeds and high waves during that period.
“A low pressure area has formed over Eastcentral and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal. It is very likely to move northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over Northwest BoB off north Odisha-West Bengal coasts during the next 48 hours,” IMD Goa said in a statement on Saturday.
IMD Goa said heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places on Sept 14 and Sept 15.
IMD Goa further added that heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places on Sept 12. It further said that heavy rainfall is very likely at a few places on Sept 13.
