The downpour, which occurred on Monday evening, not only led to power outages in different areas of Goa but also resulted in the partial ruin of several Narkasura effigies Aquem, Margao. This unfortunate turn of events has affected the work of the local youth, who had put in efforts toward crafting these effigies, set to participate in the upcoming Narkasura competition held on the eve of the Diwali festivities.
The heavy rainfall in Aquem, Margao has dampened the spirits of the community, creating obstacles in the preparation and presentation of the elaborate effigies designed for the much-anticipated Narkasura burning event. Despite the setback caused by the rain, participants strive to restore and reconstruct the damaged effigies, while also bracing for potential challenges arising from the unexpected weather conditions on the eve of the Diwali celebration.
