Loose cables posing a danger to the motorist
Mormugao Municipal Council  (MMC) chairperson Bhavana Bhosle when asked about the loose cablesin the city said: “I will speak to the Power minister and get back to Herald.”
When contacted, Power Minister Milind Naik said, “I will find out from the electricity department and initiate action.”
When contacted, MMC city councillor Krishna Salkar said, “I have personally initiated action against this and cut the wires as the wires pose danger not only to motorists but also to pedestrians. It’s the duty of the Municipality to take action on this and impose fine on the offenders identifying the owners.” 
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a retired engineer said, “The wires are illegally fixed as the owners don’t pay any charges to the electricity department for using the post to hang their wires and do not take permission to fix their cable wires.”
Dabolim junction a danger zone
Vasco Traffic Cell Police Inspector (PI) Suddesh Narvekar responds to the Citizen’s Herald problem on ‘Dabolim Junction a Danger Zone’.  “I intend to allocate traffic police at the junction but there is shortage of staff. I have already asked for more police personnel from my superiors.”
