The rising rate of newsprint and the drop of the rupee against the dollar, have led to a steep increase in the production cost in bringing out a newspaper. As you know Herald has never compromised on the quality of the newsprint, and has always tried its best to ensure that the additional costs are not passed down to the readers.
Today we are constrained to share with you our decision to raise the price of the copy of your Herald by Re 1 with effect from November 1, 2018. The price of the Herald will, from that date onwards, be Rs 7.
We reassure you that Herald will keep the agenda of excellence as it priority and, as always, be with the people of Goa and remain their voice.
We once again thank you for being a part of the Herald family and call upon you to understand the constraints which forced this decision.
