PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Monday referred a matter mediation so as to arrive at settlement of the dispute between husband and wife.
The Court appointed Adv Shubhalaxmi Pai Raikar as the mediator and asked both the parties to approach the mediator in this week itself and to seek convenient date. Both the counsels were also requested to inform the mediator about the appointment.
The Mediator has been asked to submit the report within a period of one month and has posted the matter for April 3, 2024.
During the hearing, the petitioner’s counsel Adv Anirudh Sardessai told the Court that the applicant was forcibly removed from the house and that the respondent was not even paying the maintenance amount to the applicant.
After hearing the counsels for the respective parties for some time, the Court found that the matter was purely a dispute between husband and wife and appointed a mediator to resolve it.
