In a major judgment, the High Court of Bombay at Goa has directed the government of Goa and the Goa State Election Commission to declare the date of Village Panchayat elections within 3 days. High Court has also directed govt and the State election commission to complete the entire election process within 45 days. The state had blamed the State Election Commission for not holding polls, while the election commission argued in court that it was ready to hold the polls.
