Hindu outfit urges parents not to send children to convent schools

PONDA: The National Hindu Movement on Sunday urged the parents not to deprive their children of Hindu culture by admitting them in convent schools.

The National Hindu Movement organized a demonstration after offering a coconut to the local Deity, Shri Zareshwar, at old bus stand, Ponda. The demonstration was a part of the National Hindu Movement held all over the country.
In his introductory speech, Dr Manoj Solanki explained the purpose of the Movement.
Many parents whose wards were deprived from following Hindu culture, cited examples stating, how their girls were not allowed to wear bangles, apply ‘kumkum’ on the forehead, to wear Indian dress, etc, in short, to abide by Hindu culture, in various convent schools in Goa, states the press note.
Hearing all the reports, an appeal was made to such parents to think whether they should admit their children in convent schools, where their culture and traditions are at stake.
Unanimous demands like the Central Government should conserve ancient temples and forts in the country by stopping their ruin, take legal action against Dnyanprakash Swami of Uraling math in Karnataka for setting fire to Shrimadbhagvadgita and Prof K S Bhagvan for insulting the Gita, were made by all devout Hindu Organisations under the banner of National Hindu Movement.
Demands were also made that the word ‘Secular’ which was not there in the original Constitution but was illegally/unofficially incorporated later during the period of Emergency, should be removed and by stopping appeasement of the minorities, law of equality should be passed immediately.
