Pithadhishwar Shree Kshetra Tapobhumi, H H Brahmeshanand Swami Maharaj has urged the people to preserve the Hindu culture and follow the traditions.
Brahmeshanand Swami Maharaj was addressing at a public meeting organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) Goa at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan, Bicholim.
RSS chief Goa Unit, Prof Subhash Velingkar; Sangam Borkar (Dharmashakti Sena); Madan Sawant (Sanatan Sanstha) and Jayesh Thali (HJS) were also present at the meet, which was attended by around 2000 people.
Speaking further Brahmeshanand Swami Maharaj said, ‘Youths should be attracted towards temples and it should be a place where they should be inspired towards religion for peace.
He urged the people against fighting among themselves and called strengthening the religion and holding of such religious meets in future.
Speaking further, he said youth are following Western culture and such meets would help them know their real culture.’
He also urged the people to protect the temples as they are the sources from where the thoughts of saints reach the people.
He also urged the people to attend the religious meeting to be held at Panjim on January 10.
RSS chief Goa Unit, Prof Subhash Velingkar provided several examples as to how there has been degradation of culture in the society.
He asked the Government to inquire into the temple desecrations in the state.
Earlier, several eminent personalities from USA, Australia, France, Korea and other countries were felicitated on the occasion.
