PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Thursday granted bail to alleged history sheeter Zenito Cardozo in the LPK Waterfront attack case. He walked out of the Mapusa judicial lock up hours after the order.
Zenito was granted bail with conditions that he should not leave the country without the permission of the court, surrender his passport to the court and to visit the Porvorim police station every Monday from 10 am to 12 pm. He was also asked to submit Rs 50,000 personal bond with one or two sureties of like amount.
His counsel Advocate Amit Desai had approached the High Court after the Fast Track court denied him bail a fortnight ago. The bench said there is no prima facie case against him as yet. Around 30 persons vandalized the nightclub at Nerul in broad daylight on August 21, 2013.
