PANJIM: Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has given Anil Hoble three days to pay the 20 lakh fine imposed on him by the National Green Tribunal (NGT). GCZMA has directed Hoble to make the payment through a demand draft.
NGT, on May 29, 2015 had ordered the demolition of illegal structures as Hoble had violated various provisions of the environmental laws and directed him to pay the fine for destroying mangroves and undertaking illegal land filling.
Meanwhile, the Tiswadi Deputy Collector has initiated the process for demolition of Hoble’s Bar and Restaurant, besides other structures which NGT had found to be illegal and also now upheld by the Supreme Court.
