PONDA: A powerful lightning struck at Mahalaxmi Nagar Talavalim at around 11.30 pm on Saturday, damaging home appliances such as TVs, refrigerators and fans.
The electrical wiring of Gopal Krishna temple got burnt totally in the lightning. The lightning sound was so loud that the villagers of Talavalim and neighbouring Kavlem were frightened.
