SANGUEM: Urging the State Government to do a rethink on the home quarantine facility extended to non-Goans, Sanguem residents have claimed that facility is faulty.
Nityanand Narvekar, a local, informed that a couple of days ago, a Jaipur native had returned to Goa via train and on his arrival in Goa, he was lodged by the government at the State-run quarantine facility for 48 hours. The Jaipur native was later asked to leave the facility on the condition that he should undergo home quarantine for 14 days.
Narvekar informed that this particular person, who has showed up in Sanguem, does not have a second home, but is residing in a rented premises along with his colleague.
Since his return to Goa and more particularly his stay in Sanguem, the residents have raised safety concerns if this person tests positive for COVID-19 during the quarantine period.
Sources informed that the Jaipur native’s colleague has been reportedly roaming in the market for his daily purchases and other works.
Who is to be held responsible if any of these individuals test positive for COVID-19 during the next few days, asked the locals.

Police informed that the concerned individual has a letter issued by the authorities for home quarantine facility.
The individual is reported to have travel history as his returned from Jaipur to Delhi before heading to Goa in the Delhi-bound train.
