PONDA: Amresh Anant Solyekar (34) from Honda Sattari drowned in Kodar-OPA Khandepar River while he had gone for a picnic along with group of friends, on Friday evening.
The incident took place around 2.30 pm, when Amresh along with his friends entered the water body. After sometime, Amresh’s friends found him missing.
His panicked friends immediately informed the Ponda Police, following which a police team rushed to the spot. After an intense search operation, his body was fished out from the river. PSI Vibinav Shirodkar conducted the panchanama.
