PANJIM: On May 30, 2023 Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC) security guard Dhiraj Gaonkar posted at X Ray Unit of South Goa District Hospital (SGDH) found a mangalsutra lying on the ground. He immediately handed the gold ornament to the security supervisor Yellapa Ullagudi.
Supervisor recorded the details in the register and tried to trace the record of person from the X Ray Department Register but couldn’t find the contact details and then handed the ornament to administrative officer, SGDH.
The supervisor informed the X-ray dept staff to send the person to MS office if anyone came to collect the X-ray report and asked for the mangalsutra. So on June 1, 2023 a woman came to the hospital and inquired about her report and casually inquired about her gold ornament as she was not sure if it was lost at the hospital or elsewhere.
Then the security supervisor inquired with her about the ornament and asked her to describe it. After receiving a satisfactory answer the mangalsutra was handed over to the woman in the presence of Administrative Officer T. Maddimani, Security Supervisor, Yellapa Ullagudi and Security Guard Dhiraj Gaonkar .
