A reported theft at the Datcha Arambol Hotel in Madhla Wada,
Arambol, Goa has prompted a swift response from Pernem Police, resulting in the
arrest of the accused, Manik Talukdar, in Belgavi, Karnataka. The case,
registered under Cr. No. 129/2023 U/s 381 IPC, was filed upon the complaint
lodged by Miss Sanjana Umesh Salgaonkar, the hotel’s manager.
According to the complaint, on the 15th of December, TNK, identified as Manik Talukdar and employed as a security guard at Datcha Arambol, allegedly committed theft within the premises. The stolen items included cash amounting to Rs. 20,200, clothing from rooms occupied by guests Mr. Ashwini Mishra and Mr. Krish Pathak, a mobile phone of Poko Company from the reception area, and an additional Rs. 6,500 from
the hotel’s locker, totaling approximately Rs. 40,000.
The Pernem Police, led by PSI Yogesh Mandrekar and PC Shashank Shakkahkar, conducted a thorough investigation that eventually led to the trace and subsequent arrest of the accused in Belgavi, Karnataka. The coordinated efforts of the Pernem Police team, working under the supervision of SP North, SDPO Pernem, and PI Pernem, culminated in
the successful location and apprehension of the accused individual.
