House at BPS club burgled in daylight

In a daring daylight burglary, unknown miscreants looted a house near BPS Club here on Tuesday evening.
The house owner S Rebello had just closed her house to go to Holy Spirit grounds to collect her son, only to realise half an hour later that her house has been burgled.
The culprits are believed to have effected entry into the house by cutting open the latch. After gaining entry, the miscreants is believed to have latched the door from inside and managed to lay his hands on cash of Rs 20,000, besides gold ornaments.
It is learnt that the culprit managed to escape with the booty through the rear door when the owner returned back. Before making good his escape, the culprits left behind two heavy duty screw drivers, which was used to commit the burglary.
The Margao police rushed to the spot after being intimated of the daring daylight burglary eve n as the incident has caused scare in the locality.
The police are investigating.
