BICHOLIM: Sadashiv Parab from Katarwada Mulgao suffered a loss of Rs 8 lakh after his house was gutted in fire due to short circuit on Thursday evening.
Major misfortune was averted as the occupants ran out of house in time.
On getting the information, Bicholim fire officials rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames. However, before the arrival of the firemen many items like furniture, cupboard, bed, fans, clothes, documents, cash and utensils were destroyed in fire. Gold ornaments in the house got melted in the fire.
