rnIn a daylight burglary, gold valuables worth Rs 1.42 lakh were stolen from a house of a Mormugao Municipal Council worker at New Vaddem on Friday morning.
rnVasco Police said that incident occurred in the morning when Suresh Naik’s wife had gone to drop her son to school, while other family members were in hospital attending to Suresh’s ailing mother.
rnPolice suspect that it could be a handiwork of some known persons as the complaint’s wife had locked the door and had kept the keys in a secret place outside the house.
rnWhen she returned, she found that the key was use to open the door and gold valuables were missing from the cupboard.
rnVasco police is investigating the case.
