PANJIM: The Goa Legislative Assembly on Tuesday condoled death of twelve veterans from various fields including former Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Gopinath Munde, who died in a road accident in New Delhi on June 3.
The House also paid tributes to the legendary actor of the Indian cinema Zohra Sehgal.
The awardee of the prestigious Padmashri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan passed away on July 10.
The death of renowned cinematographer of the Indian cinema V K Murthy, Marathi music composer Anand Modak, iconic author Khushwant Singh and eminent Marathi poet-lyricist Sudhir Moghe was also condoled.
The House also made obituary references of four freedom fighters.
They are Baban Bhat, Vishwanath Sawaikar, Vithal Prabhugaonkar and Vidhyadhar Shilkar along with cricket legend Madhav Mantri.
