VASCO: Two boulders came crashing down on a house at Bhauter-Vollant, Vasco on Thursday morning.
A portion of the house was damaged while household goods and electronic items were destroyed in the incident.
According to house owner Jose Rodrigues, the incident occurred around 8.40 am when two boulders crashed into his house. However, no casualty was reported, though the loss has been estimated to be around Rs 1.5 lakh.
“I had left the house to drop my child to school and my wife was working in the kitchen when the boulders crashed into the cement sheet roof and landed in the living room,” Rodrigues added.
After receiving information, the neighbours rushed for help and alerted the Vasco fire station as well as Mormugao Municipality who later cleared the debris.
