PERNEM: A house belonging to one Subhash Amerkar at Oshelbagh Dhargal gutted in fire, on Friday midnight.
According to the sources, the incident occurred at around 12.50 am. The people in the neighbourhood called up the control room informing about the fire. Immediately, a team of Pernem Fire Station headed by Sub-Officer Prashant Dhargalkar rushed to the spot and started fighting with the fire.
Sources informed that when the incident occurred, there was no one in the house and the house was locked. The whole house including the equipment, furniture and kitchen items gutted in fire while incurring loss of over Rs 3 lakh.
