MAPUSA: A house owned by one Shubham Gadekar near German Bakery, Anjuna gutted in fire, causing approximate loss of Rs 10 lakh, on Monday.
According to Mapusa Fire Station, they received a call at 3.30 pm informing that a house has caught fire. Immediately, a team was deputed at the spot. However, by the time the fire personnel could reach at the spot, the house was already at blaze.
Owner claimed that household items and electric items such as two laptops, one refrigerator, television set, gold jewellery and cash of Rs 70,000, which were kept in the cupboard gutted in fire.
When the house caught fire, the owner along with other family members was travelling to Redy, Maharashtra. The neighbours informed him about the fire incident. However, the cause of fire is not identified. Further investigations are on.
