In the early hours of last Saturday, a residential house located near Hanuman Mandir fell victim to a fierce fire, causing significant damage. The incident prompted a swift response from the local authorities and fire department.
According to reports, the Mapusa fire station received an emergency call at 5:20 AM, alerting them to the blaze. In a commendable display of prompt action, a team of skilled fire personnel was immediately dispatched to the scene. Their efforts culminated in successfully gaining control over the raging flames, preventing further destruction.
The owner of the affected house has expressed the extent of the loss incurred, estimating it to be around 4 lakh rupees. The owners claim the fire was caused by a short circuit. The local authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
