House hosts meeting on Succession Bill

The Goa Legislature Secretariat meeting on Goa Succession, Special Notaries and Inventory Proceedings Bill, 2008 was held at Goa Legislature Assembly on Saturday.  
Some lawyers who attended the meeting argued that the Bill should not be enacted and status quo be maintained, some also argued in favour of the Bill.
The Bill seeks to consolidate and amend the law of testamentary succession, notarial law and the laws relating to partition of an inheritance and matters   connect therewith. R Kothandaraman Secretary Legislature, when contacted told that such meets will be held and public will be invited to submit their objections and suggestions before report is prepared.
