VASCO: A house in Baina was completely gutted in fire on Friday night. The ill-fated house is owned by one Ahmed Shaikh in Patrong, Baina. According to the neighbours, the family of Amhed was out while the fire ignited. Ahmed was out for work at the Leela Hotel and his wife was out to get her kids back from tuitions. The fire personnel looking at the magnitude of the fire called for backup from MPT and Zuari Agro fire stations. It took a full two and half hours to douse the fire. Some say that an oil lamp in the house may have triggered the inferno, but most believe it was a short circuit.
