PANJIM: Goa Legislative Assembly on Thursday congratulated former Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar for being selected for the prestigious Padma Bhushan award for public affairs.
BJP MLA Atanasio Monserrate moved the congratulatory motion on the Floor of the House amidst the protest by the opposition benches against the alleged illegal arrest of Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte. Parrikar, former defence minister, died on March 17, 2019.
