PERNEM: Pernem Fire Station personnel on Monday sanitised Primary Health Centre, Purva-Casarvane, Bhaidwada-Corgao and Tamboxem including the houses of infected persons by spraying disinfectant using fire tenders. Tamboxem and Purva Primary Health Centre were sanitised after a 96-year-old woman succumbed to COVID. Sanitisation was also carried out at Bhaidwada, Corgao, after a COVID case was detected. The house of the infected person and surrounding areas were sanitised. Meanwhile, the Mapusa Fire Station personnel sanitised Sateri Temple at Verla Canca, Traffic Cell, Mapusa Police Station, Aldona market, residential areas and area near Ganpati Temple at Moira. The sanitisation drive was carried out at Traffic Cell and Mapusa Police Station after a constable attached to Traffic Cell contracted the infection and after positive cases were reported in Moira, Verla Canca and Aldona.
