PANJIM: Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) will conduct the practical examination of HSSC students next month beginning February 4 in the respective higher secondaries.
The HSSC or class XII board exams are scheduled between March 1 and March 26. Over 17,000 students have registered with the Board for the exam. The Board on its official website www.gbshse.org has uploaded the detailed timetable of the practical examination for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Geography, Banking and Computer Science.
Higher secondaries are directed to prepare batches as per the timetable in their schools with seat numbers. The batches are to be made by considering a minimum strength of 16 and maximum of 20 candidates per batch.
As per a tentative figure, 4,787 students from the science stream have registered for the HSSC examination, while another 5,186 are from the commerce stream, 4,140 from arts and 2,912 from vocational streams. The HSSC exam will begin with a language paper for students of arts, science and commerce streams and it will end also with a language paper II. Science students have some relief as there is a gap to prepare for chemistry (March 6), Biology (March 11) and Mathematics (March 13).
