PANJIM: Even as the teachers engaged in answer sheet corrections are multi-tasked with election duty, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has said that the HSSC results would be declared in the last week of April.
The Board also informed that the results of SSC examinations which are currently underway would be also declared in the last week of May.
The HSSC or Std XII examination was conducted between February 28 and March 26. The SSC exams, which commenced on April 2, will conclude on April 15.
GBSHSE Chairman Ramakrishna Samant said there would be no delay in declaring the results — the teachers are multi-tasked though. “We are making all efforts to ensure that the HSSC results are announced by last week of this month. SSC will be by May end,” he said.
Samant said that HSSC answer sheet correction is nearing completion and simultaneously, SSC paper correction has also begun. “As on today, only 10 percent of HSSC answer sheet corrections are left,” he said.
Last year, the HSSC results were announced on April 28, while SSC were on May 25, 2018.
Nearly 17,893 students had appeared for HSSC exams; 19,343 are answering SSC.
