Portuguese, Hindi papers rescheduled to March 17, instead of March 14

PORVORIM: Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary (GBSHSE) has tweaked the schedule of 2018 HSSC examination. The exam will now begin on March 5 as per the previous schedule but will end two days later on March 26 instead of March 24.
According to the new schedule, students have been given a break on March 14, just before the Mathematics paper. Also, the Portuguese and Hindi Language II papers, which were scheduled on March 14 as per the previous paper have now been rescheduled to March 17.
“In the general stream, the practical examination will commence from February 5 and the detailed programme of the practical examination will be notified later through the Heads of Institutions. Candidates are advised that they should get the same ascertained from the Heads of Institutions,” GBSHSE Secretary M V Gadgil said.
He added, “The oral and practical examination in respect of Higher Secondary Schools where the courses have been started for the first/second year will commence from Wednesday 14th February, 2018.”
GBSHSE further said that the candidates must note that the examination starts at 10.00 am and that the sub centres/places where the examination will be held at each centre will be announced at the concerned centre.
“The practical’s in NSQF subjects will start by January 22, 2018 and will be conducted by National Skill Development Council, New Delhi,” Gadgil added
GBSHSE has also appealed to candidates to be present at the places of examination at 9.30 am. “Candidates shall not be allowed to leave the examination hall before 11.00 am,” the board said.
