Sanguem: The road to Sanguem from Curchorem was blocked for some time on Tuesday morning after a huge tree fell across the road near the Civil and Criminal Court at Kharkhatiaghati, Sanguem.
The road from Dando Sanguem to Kharkhatiaghati is adorned by several huge trees. While the authorities do the trimming exercise just before the monsoon, some of the old trees get uprooted due to loose mud during the heavy rains.
In this case, after getting the information about the incident, the former Sanguem MLA Subhash Phaldessai immediately approached the Fire Brigade from Curchorem Fire Station, who got the road cleared for vehicular traffic, which had been forced to halt for a long period of time.
